BEMIDJI \u2014 Bemidji State’s Talley Gallery will present prints and textiles by Nancy Ariza as part of an exhibit, “Lo Que Vive en el Hilo (What Lives in the Thread),” from Sept. 10 through Oct. 8, in Bridgeman Hall room 140.<\/p>\n

The public is invited to attend a reception for the exhibit from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, during which Ariza will speak and appetizers will be served.<\/p>\n

“Inspired by traditional forms of embroidery, Mexican American artist Nancy Ariza explores her family\u2019s connections to artisan practices, cultural memory, and generational knowledge through printmaking, textiles, and natural pigments,” a release said.<\/p>\n

The gallery and reception are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
