You never know who you might see at New York Fashion Week, be it Spike Lee\u2019s son<\/a>, influencer Caroline Calloway<\/a>, or basketball legend Dennis Rodman<\/a>, who attended the Luar presentation in Manhattan\u2019s Financial District on Monday night. As one of New York\u2019s new marquee labels, Luar<\/a> has attracted an increasingly starry crowd in recent years\u2014three seasons ago, in February 2024, even Beyonc\u00e9 trekked to Bushwick<\/a> to support her nephew, model Julez Smith<\/a>, who made his runway debut in the show.<\/p>\n

As per usual, the basketball Hall of Famer arrived in style with a goth-kid-approved vest, leather track pants, a black bandana tied around his forehead, Feng Chang Wong echo clogs on his feet, and a whole jewelry store around his wrist and neck. (It should go without saying that The Worm also had his typical array of piercings dangling from his face.)<\/p>\n

Inside the venue, Rodman sat in a front row of fellow VIPs including Latto and Ice Spice. He also met Peso Pluma<\/a>, as one does.<\/p>\n

And while his fellow showgoers put him in good sartorial company, what has always set Rodman apart is his dedication to the details. Perhaps the most eccentric player in NBA history, the 64-year-old upped the ante with his red nail polish and matching red hair<\/a>\u2014both on top of his head and his soul patch. The pi\u00e8ce de r\u00e9sistance, though, was the eyewear: Rodman looked incredibly comfortable in Luar\u2019s \u201cDouble Eyewear\u201d spectacles, which look like one pair of shades stacked atop another.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not new for Rodman to step out in a big fit. In fact, he\u2019s inarguably one of the freakiest, freshest dressers<\/a> of all time. But he\u2019d been mostly out of the spotlight recently, until whispers got louder that he was floating around during NYFW. Like Beyonc\u00e9 in 2024<\/a>, Dennis the Menace\u2019s appearance came as a bit of a surprise to the general public. With the flashy, buzzy Luar show marking his triumphant return, Rodman not only met the moment, he grabbed it like it was a rebound in 1998.<\/p>\n
