The Harry Potter reboot is moving at full throttle. With the reveal of the golden trio and many other beloved characters, it\u2019s hard not to reminisce about the films. After falling in love with those iconic portrayals, it\u2019s only natural to hope the actors from the movies might transition into the new series and bring our favorite characters to life once again.<\/p>\n

However, the TV series mostly introduces new faces to inhabit these roles, though Warwick Davis will reprise his role as Professor Flitwick in the reboot. Honestly, it\u2019s absolutely necessary to bring new talent on board; the HBO series is already becoming the victim of constant comparisons and drawn-out parallelism, rather than becoming its own distinct product.<\/p>\n

Even the original actors agree. Daniel Radcliffe has made his stance clear that he wants no involvement in the show, and now, Garry Oldman has echoed the same sentiments.<\/p>\n

Oldman, who played Sirius Black, was recently asked by Entertainment Tonight <\/a>whether he would like to reprise his role in the upcoming reboot. He understandably denied saying, \u201cNo, absolutely not. They wouldn’t … I don’t think they want to come near the original.\u201d He ended humorously, \u201cI’m too old now to play Sirius Black.\u201d<\/p>\n

For now, Sirius is not officially cast for the Harry Potter reboot.
