Matthew Bradley landed 1-8 of the winners\u2019 total while John Corkey got the other goal and Odhran O\u2019Connell weighed in with four points.\n        <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n            And four points is the magic amount for the Muskerry outfit as Sarsfields\u2019 wins over the same two opponents means that the top two spots are decided and the game between Aghabullogue and Sars will determine first and second, with the winners almost certainly taking an automatic semi-final spot.\n        <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/4746468_3_articleinlinemobile_St_20Finbarrs_20vs_20Midleton-04.jpeg\" alt=\"Aaron Mulcahy impressed as Midleton beat Bandon. Picture: Chani Anderson<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n            Barry O\u2019Flynn scored 13 points in the Riverstown side\u2019s 0-22 to 1-14 victory against Blackrock in Whitechurch. Ciar\u00e1n Cormack got the Rockies goal.\n        <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n            In Group 1, Midleton have four points but that is not yet sufficient to guarantee them qualification. The Magpies beat Bandon by 1-20 to 1-15 at Church Road on Sunday, coming from six points down at half-time. Aaron Mulcahy featured heavily among the points while Evan McGrath netted. Ciar\u00e1n McCarthy got the Bandon goal.\n        <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n            Bandon were already on two points and have now been joined by Russell Rovers, who beat Mayfield by 5-15 to 2-12 in Caherlag. Brian Hartnett scored 3-3 while Josh Beausang and Conor Ahearne raised green flags. Nicky Kelly and Calvin O\u2019Donovan got the Mayfield goals.\n        <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n            In Group 3, Aghada produced a superb performance to beat Erin\u2019s Own by 1-27 to 0-17 in Carrigtwohill on Friday night.\n        <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/4746471_3_articleinlinemobile_EOHHorsewood05.jpg\" alt=\"Darragh Flynn scored the equaliser for Ballygiblin against Kildorrery. Picture: Eddie O&#8217;Hare<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n            Pearse O\u2019Neill got the goal for the Rostellan outfit, with William Leahy scoring ten points while Charlie Terry, Ronan Murphy and Jamie O\u2019Hanlon among the scores too. Kieran Murphy carried the majority of the Erin\u2019s Own scoring burden.\n        <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n            The Caherlag side had beaten Ballygiblin in their first game and they have now been joined on two points by Kildorrery, who drew for the second time when they met Ballygiblin.\n        <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n            Glanworth was the venue for the local derby and Peter O\u2019Brien scored 0-5 of Kildorrery\u2019s 1-16, while James Eniry got the goal and David Kelly and James Keating were also to the fore. Ballygiblin\u2019s 0-19 featured nine points from Darragh Flynn, including the two to level.\n        <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Kilbrittain took a giant leap towards qualification for the knockout stages of the\u00a0Premier JHC with victory over Cloughduv at Newcestown on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">With both sides having won their opening matches in Group 2 \u2013 Kilbrittain against neighbours Barryroe and Cloughduv against Nemo Rangers \u2013 this was a chance to claim top spot in the group and a strong first half from Kilbrittain laid the foundations for a 2-17 to 1-17 victory.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">With the wind behind them, the Carbery outfit amassed a 1-11 to 0-4 lead and held on in the face of second-half pressure from the side relegated from intermediate A last year. Bertie Butler and Luke Griffin scored the Kilbrittain goals while Mark Hickey was again among the points for Joe Ryan\u2019s side. Aodh Twomey landed 1-2 for Cloughduv while Mark Verling had four points.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">It&#8217;s likely that Kilbrittain will still need something from their last match against Nemo Rangers to guarantee progression from the group. Nemo were 0-18 to 0-14 winners over Barryroe at Ballygarvan on Saturday evening, with Shane Horgan scoring eight points for the Trabeg outfit. Olan O\u2019Donovan top scored for Barryroe with 0-5.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Group 1 is now a three-way battle between St Finbarr\u2019s, Glen Rovers and St Catherine\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">On Saturday, the two city sides met at Na Piarsaigh\u2019s ground and the Glen enjoyed a brilliant start, with Shane Busteed getting 2-2 as they established a 2-10 to 0-3 lead, Evan Murphy and Mark Dooley weighing in on the point-scoring front. However, in the second half, St Finbarr\u2019s ate into the deficit, with Caol\u00e1n O\u2019Connor scoring a goal as part of a 1-7 individual haul. Conor McCarthy, Kevin O\u2019Flynn and Colm Keane also got on the scoresheet as they finished with 1-18 to match the Glen\u2019s 2-15.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">With both clubs having won in their initial outings, they are now on three points, one ahead of St Catherine\u2019s, who bounced back from a loss to the Glen by beating Meeling on a 0-23 to 1-8 scoreline in Buttevant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Kevin Barry and Ois\u00edn Fitzgerald combined for 14 of the points for Catherine\u2019s, who led by three at half-time, with Jack Curtin getting 1-2 for Meelin.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Argideen Rangers are top of Group 3, having beaten Milford by 1-23 to 2-15 in Ovens on Saturday. The Timoleague side\u2019s goal was scored by P\u00e1draig Butler and his brother Finbarr also contributed, along with Charlie Twomey and John Michael O\u2019Callaghan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Carbery club are on four points, followed by south-east pair Tracton and Ballygarvan. They met in Riverstick on Sunday and the Minane Bridge side, last year\u2019s junior A champions, won by 1-18 to 1-14. Ronan Walsh\u2019s dead-ball accuracy was a key asset for Tracton, with Cian Quinn goaling.
