Smithsonian, and a co-lead of the new study, said: &#8220;What\u2019s remarkable is that while the ring size has remained consistent over the years, confirming the <a href=\"https:\/\/talker.news\/2024\/04\/16\/galactic-goliath-black-hole-33-times-suns-mass-discovered-nearby\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">black hole\u2019s<\/a> shadow predicted by Einstein\u2019s the polarization pattern changes significantly.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This tells us that the magnetized plasma swirling near the event horizon is far from static;
