\n\tNicole Kidman<\/a> and Elle Fanning<\/a> have signed up to work with each other again, this time in Discretion<\/a>, a legal series written by The Husbands\u00a0author Chandler Baker<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt is the latest project for the pair, who have worked together on Sofia Coppola\u2019s southern gothic thriller The Beguiled and sci-fi rom-com How To Talk To Girls At Parties as well as Apple\u2019s upcoming David E. Kelley series Margo\u2019s Got Money Problems.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt comes after A24<\/a> acquired the rights to Baker\u2019s short story Discretion, which is yet to be published. The company said that it won the rights in a competitive situation with multiple bidders. <\/p>\n

\n\tBaker will adapt the fictional short story set in Dallas, which is inspired by her experience as a corporate attorney. Baker was a lawyer at a D.C. firm before moving to Dallas as a corporate attorney, having also worked for a major sports franchise. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tBaker is busy in Hollywood these; she is adapting her book The Husbands for Amazon MGM and Plan B, with Kristen Wiig attached to star and produce. A movie adaptation of her short story Oh. What. Fun, which she co-wrote with director Michael Showalter, is set at Prime Video with starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Longoria, Felicity Jones, and Chloe Grace Moretz. She is also developing a TV adaptation of her novel Cutting Teeth for a streamer, while HBO initially optioned her book Whisper Network.<\/p>\n

\n\tShe will adapt her story and exec produce alongside Erin Brockovich writer Susannah Grant<\/a>. Kidman will exec produce alongside Per Saari under their Blossom Films banner, Fanning will exec produce alongside her sister Dakota and Brittany Kahan Ward for Lewellen Pictures. Linden Entertainment\u2019s Jordan Cerf will also exec produce as will Joe Hipps, who set up his Cut To banner at A24.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt is the latest TV project for A24, which is behind series such as HBO\u2019s\u00a0Euphoria, Netflix\u2019s\u00a0Beef\u00a0and Prime Video\u2019s\u00a0Overcompensating\u00a0as well as Margo\u2019s Got Money Troubles. The company is set to take the TV and film rights to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre<\/a> franchise<\/a> and is working with Noah Baumbach on a series adaptation Andrew Ridker\u2019s novel<\/a>\u00a0Hope<\/a>, which is set up at Netflix with Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski writing.<\/p>\n

\n\tBaker is represented by CAA, Writers House, Linden, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman. Kidman is represented by CAA, Media Talent Group, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman. Fanning is represented by UTA, TFC Management, and Hansen Jacobsen.
