The children of late actor Kalabhavan Navas have shared a heartfelt message as the film \u2018Izha,\u2019which features both their parents, crossed over two million views on YouTube. The film stars Navas opposite his wife Rehna and was released directly on the platform.<\/p>\n
In their emotional note, they wrote: \u201cWe believe all of you should know that the movie Izha, featuring our father and mother, is now available on YouTube. If Vappichi had been here, he would have already shared this with you all. We\u2019re sorry it took us some time to post this. We hope you will all watch the film.\u201d<\/p>\n
Izha, featuring the late Kalabhavan Navas and his wife Rehna in lead roles, was released on August 8, 2025, via the Reza Entertainment YouTube channel. The film’s director, Siraj Reza, stated that the decision to release it online was in response to overwhelming requests from fans who deeply admired Navas. \u201cEven though we are still grieving and not in a space to celebrate, we released Izha on August 8, 2025 \u2014 a Friday \u2014 on the Reza Entertainment YouTube channel. Since then, we\u2019ve been flooded with messages and phone calls asking where the film could be watched. It\u2019s only due to the generosity of producer Salim that we were able to complete and release the movie,\u201d Reza said.<\/p>\n
He added that aside from four key actors, the rest of the cast are newcomers, and that the film was made overcoming numerous challenges. Despite its modest production, Izha has already won five major awards, including the Film Critics Award, JC Daniel Award, and Poovachal Khader Award. Navas received a Special Jury Award for Best Actor, while Rehna was honored with the JC Daniel Award for Best Supporting Actress.<\/p>\n

Tragically, Navas passed away on August 1, just days before the film\u2019s release.
