Kelly Brook<\/a> has revealed the ‘very dramatic’ moment she cancelled her wedding just hours before the ceremony after being ‘manipulated and coerced’ by a much older ex she claimed ‘should have known better’.<\/p>\n

The model and actress, 45, opened up about the ‘horrific’ ordeal on Thursday’s episode of Loose Women<\/a>, and was joined in the ITV<\/a> studio by panellists Kaye Adams<\/a>, Oti Mabuse<\/a> and Nadia Sawalha<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When Kelly was 25, she was engaged to be married to a 42-year-old unnamed man, and the couple planned to fly in a private jet to Vegas to elope.<\/p>\n

But Kelly shared that just hours before they were due to wed, and while she was in her white dress, she called off the whole thing in tears.<\/p>\n

‘I got engaged very young,’ she began. ‘And I felt like I was really kind of manipulated and coerced into something that I wasn’t ready for.’<\/p>\n

Kelly continued: ‘That was because of the insecurity on the side of my partner who thought that this was the way of having me and owning me.<\/p>\n

‘And he was a lot older, so I kind of went along as a people pleaser, because sometimes you want to stay with the person but you’re not ready for that kind of commitment.<\/p>\n

‘So, I went along with it until the very last minute and then went, ‘hang on a minute, I’m not ready for this now. The whole situation was wrong.’<\/p>\n

Oti chimed in with support for Kelly’s bravery to turn her back on the decision when the pressure to conform was so strong.<\/p>\n

‘Oh the jet was waiting, we were going to Vegas that day,’ Kelly said. ‘It was like a movie, it was all very dramatic and I was just crying ‘I can’t do this, my mum’s not here!’<\/p>\n

Host Kaye then asked: ‘You weren’t in a dress, were you?’ to which Kelly responded: ‘I was in a dress, yes.’<\/p>\n

She added: It was just horrific. It was the most horrific thing, but we stayed together and I think he came around to it and understood why.’<\/p>\n

Although Kelly was keen not to mention the name of her thwarted ex-lover, she later revealed there was a 17-year age gap between her and the mystery man who ‘should have known better.’<\/p>\n

The former page-3 girl found love with French model Jeremy Parisi in 2015, and the couple have been happily married for three years.<\/p>\n

But before she settled down, Kelly had a string of high-profile engagements, including to Hollywood actors Jason Statham and Billy Zane, both 58, and rugby star Thom Evans, 40.<\/p>\n

Her first engagement was to Fast And Furious star Jason, but the couple called it off in 2003, before Kelly struck up a relationship with Titanic actor Billy Zane in 2005.<\/p>\n

After four years of dating, the pair ended their romance, with a source saying: ‘After much soul-searching, Kelly decided that Billy is not the man she wants to marry and has called off the engagement.’<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Kelly branded herself a ‘serial cheater’ before marriage – and admitted that she was stuck in a ‘horrible rut’ of ‘free-for-all’ betrayals.<\/p>\n

The model admitted that it was a ‘really hard one’ but wanted to be honest with the audience and viewers at home.<\/p>\n

Kelly said: ‘I’ve never said this, I never really talk about this, but for years I actually thought that I was a serial cheater…<\/p>\n

‘Because I’d always been in relationships that were supposed to be monogamous but they never ended up being in the end, or during, or there was always a third party on one side of it.<\/p>\n

‘And if it wasn’t, it just became what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.’<\/p>\n

Coleen Nolan then chimed in and asked: ‘So if they cheated, you cheated?’<\/p>\n

Kelly replied: ‘Yeah. It was just like I’d been out with a lot of guys that were cheat-y.’<\/p>\n

She continued: ‘I think, and even if they weren’t honest about it, you kind of know what it’s happening. And you think, well they’re at it, so it’s just a free-for-all isn’t it?<\/p>\n

‘And then you just end up in this horrible rut of neither of you ever really committing properly.<\/p>\n

‘It wasn’t until I met my husband ten years ago, and I just thought it was just going to be another situation that I’ve always been in.<\/p>\n

‘He was so serious and so focused, and I was like ‘Oh!’ and it actually made me become the best version of myself in a relationship because all of a sudden I was like ‘Oh I’m not like that’.<\/p>\n
