These new photos tease the potential inclusion of the Wayne family.

How is Bruce Wayne teased in the new Clayface set photo?

The new set photo shows what looks to be a completely rundown and dilapidated building named the “Wayne Community Center.” The building is in such disrepair that some of the letters of the building are even missing. Fans online have taken to speculating on what this could potentially mean for the movie, and namely how it might connect to the Waynes in the larger DCU.

One possible theory, as brought up by some, is that the DCU and Clayface could be adapting the story of Batman as it occurs in the Absolute Universe. In this alternate universe, instead of being a wealthy family, Thomas Wayne is an elementary school teacher, while Martha Wayne is a social worker. In the Absolute Batman world, Thomas dies of a coronary, leaving Martha and Bruce to make their way through Gotham.

Of course, it’s unclear whether or not this is actually what Clayface is alluding to. It could also just be a rundown building that’s been left out of repair in a particularly bad part of Gotham. For now, we’ll have to wait to see more information from Clayface.

The Clayface movie is being directed by James Watkins, who is known for his work on Speak No Evil. The screenplay was written by Mike Flanagan. Based on the character created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane for DC Comics, the titular DC character is best known as a fan-favorite Batman villain who has shapeshifting abilities. Described as a body horror thriller, the adaptation will reportedly feature “a Hollywood horror tale centering on a B-movie actor who injects himself with a substance to keep himself relevant.”

According to DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn, he and Matt Reeves were blown away by Harries’s audition. Before landing his high-profile project as the lead, the Welsh actor had supporting roles in movies like 2019’s The Gentlemen and 2023’s Kandahar. He also appeared in British shows such as Suspicion, The Split, and Doctor Who.

The movie will debut in theaters on September 11, 2026.

A new batch of set photos for DC Studios‘ highly anticipated body horror movie led by Kandahar’s Tom Rhys…

[263
24806,1980,1981,1982,18,117,19,17,49801,1892,327,43252,25131,43253
0":"post-72631","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-movies","8":"tag-clayface","9":"tag-dc","10":"tag-dc-studios","11":"tag-dc-universe","12":"tag-eire","13":"tag-entertainment","14":"tag-ie","15":"tag-ireland","16":"tag-mike-flanagan","17":"tag-movie-news","18":"tag-movies","19":"tag-tom-rhys-harries","20":"tag-warner-bros","21":"tag-warner-bros-pictures
["GET
