According to <a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2025\/09\/18\/tech\/samsung-trifold-phone-galaxy-s26-edge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">CNN Business<\/a>, which cites a person close to the company\u2019s plans, Samsung is currently deciding which markets will get its dual-hinge folding device, and the US is under consideration.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s currently no tri-fold phone available in the US, which means Samsung could be the first to bring one to the market. HUAWEI already sells the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidauthority.com\/huawei-mate-xt-ultimate-design-hands-on-review-3538563\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mate XT<\/a>, but its availability outside of China is very limited.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>Don\u2019t want to miss the best from Android Authority?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If Samsung goes ahead with a full-scale US launch of the so-called \u201cGalaxy TriFold,\u201d it would mark a significant milestone for both the company and the broader smartphone industry, which has been starved of truly new designs for a while. Still, several factors could shape Samsung\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n<p>With its complex folding design and cutting-edge engineering, the tri-fold won\u2019t come cheap. Reports suggest a price tag of around $3,000, putting it well beyond the reach of most consumers.
