James Gunn<\/a> has provided a casting update regarding the DCU<\/a>\u2019s Wonder Woman<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, it was revealed that a Wonder Woman movie is officially in development at DC Studios<\/a> and Warner Bros. Pictures<\/a>. Ana Nogueira is writing the script, while no casting for the role of Diana Prince has yet been announced. There is also no director attached to the project at this time.<\/p>\n

What did James Gunn say about Wonder Woman?<\/p>\n

In 2024, Gunn was asked about how he feels about casting a Wonder Woman who is taller than both Batman<\/a> and Superman<\/a>. He answered at the time, \u201cNot good. I don\u2019t know where I\u2019d find an accomplished and talented actress 6\u20195\u201d or over.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the Batman role has not yet been cast, David Corenswet<\/a>, who plays Superman in the DCU, is 6\u20194\u201d.<\/p>\n

On Threads<\/a>, Gunn was recently asked what his thoughts on Diana\u2019s height were in general and if he would cast someone under 5\u20199\u201d in the role, should they be right for the part.<\/p>\n

Gunn said, \u201cI don\u2019t think extreme height is the most important factor in casting WW. That\u2019s all I said earlier as well. I never said I didn\u2019t feel good about her being taller than Superman \u2013 I just said that would never be what I considered most important in her casting.\u201d<\/p>\n

For now, the Wonder Woman movie does not yet have a release date, and plot details remain under wraps. It\u2019s unclear if Diana\u2019s official DCU debut will be in the Wonder Woman movie or if she\u2019ll show up in another project prior to that.<\/p>\n
