Could he possibly repeat the trick a third time? In a wide-open race, nothing looks off the table \u2013 from first to eighth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Much of it will come down to tactics and a strong early pace \u2013 below 52 seconds at 400m \u2013 would likely suit McPhillips. If he\u2019s in the right position with 200m to run then look out because he\u2019s been closing as well as any man in the field. The favourite is Kenya\u2019s Emmanuel Wanyonyi, who is the Olympic champion but who hasn\u2019t looked imperious this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Just after midday, the Irish women\u2019s 4x400m team will line up for the heats, needing a top-three finish to qualify automatically.
