Oh my God,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cThe only person that stood out the most that day, besides Siobh\u00e1n [McSweeney], was our lovely \u2018Daddy\u2019 in the castle with the \u2018thanks for coming, thanks for coming\u2019. It was lovely.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Speaking of \u2018Daddy\u2019, father and son due Paudie and Andrew spoke about their experience, with Paudie dropping a bombshell: \u201cI am very much out there, a hugger.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Paudie confirms in fact he IS a hugger and we are more than a little jealous <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PatricKielty?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">@PatricKielty<\/a>  \ud83d\ude06 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/latelate?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">#latelate<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/TraitorsIRL?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">#TraitorsIRL<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/y3nvaqdZ0C\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/y3nvaqdZ0C<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Late Late Show (@RTELateLateShow) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RTELateLateShow\/status\/1969144042874179943?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">September 19, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\">The contestants gave their opinions on who may be crowned the winner on Tuesday, with Katelyn tipping \u201cOracle Oyin\u201d, Christine hedging her bets with \u201cI\u2019m Team Girls, all the girls\u201d, Andrew saying Oyin and Paudie playing it safe: \u201cany one of them could win it, to be honest, and it&#8217;s just very hard to call.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu caption\">Aisling Bea<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Comedian Aisling Bea spoke to Patrick Kielty about returning to comedy after having a baby, her work on the adaptation of &#8220;Queen of Ireland&#8221; Marian Keyes\u2019  Grown Ups, and  <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishexaminer.com\/lifestyle\/people\/arid-41695517.html\">her work to promote sustainability<\/a> in fashion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cMarian Keyes is finally getting all of the treatment she deserves, the Hollywood treatment,\u201d Bea said. \u201cShe&#8217;s got  The Walsh Sisters coming out, and  Grown Ups was actually the first book I read during the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cMarian&#8217;s finally getting all of these stories brought to life on screen, and I think people are gonna love it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Bea, who was wearing an entirely thrifted outfit, was also passionate about choosing secondhand when shopping, including for her baby.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cI know it&#8217;s so nice to buy new for babies, and they&#8217;re exciting and but it does feel innately wasteful,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cIt&#8217;s about us shifting away from fast fashion and trying to get back to wearing the clothes what we already have, and leaning into secondhand and not having a stigma.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu caption\">Anthony Boyle\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/4789301_4_articleinline_G1PVm3hWgAAu3x_.jpeg\" alt=\"Patrick Kielty with Anthony Boyle and Aisling Bea\" title=\"Patrick Kielty with Anthony Boyle and Aisling Bea\" class=\"card-img\"\/>Patrick Kielty with Anthony Boyle and Aisling Bea<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n             House of Guinness star Anthony Boyle spoke about his role in  <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishexaminer.com\/lifestyle\/artsandculture\/arid-41708009.html\">the upcoming Netflix drama<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cTo play Arthur Guinness felt like a real bucket list thing to do. I was very pleased to be part of it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">On the last day of filming for the show, Boyle said he organised a surprise for the crew, but it backfired slightly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cOn the last day, a lot of actors get ice cream trucks or coffee trucks, and I got a Guinness truck to come to set. It came a couple of hours early, it was meant to come like six when we wrapped \u2014 it came at lunch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cSo there&#8217;s a few scenes in the show that the cameras are all over the place because some of the boys were absolutely steaming. The producers were raging.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">After filming  Masters of the Air a few years ago, Boyle said he and costar Barry Keoghan found themselves in the White House, leaving a not-so-great impression on Joe Biden\u2019s security team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cWe went, had the crack and got up o some mischief, had some fun. We ended up doing cartwheels in the White House.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cThey weren&#8217;t too happy with it. We got a call, and they said, \u2018the White House have called and they&#8217;re not very happy with you\u2019. We had to take [the video clip] down.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu caption\">Marian Keyes<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/4789304_4_articleinline_G1PW5O4XMAAaR0B.jpeg\" alt=\"Marian Keyes and Stefanie Preissner on The Late Late Show\" title=\"Marian Keyes and Stefanie Preissner on The Late Late Show\" class=\"card-img\"\/>Marian Keyes and Stefanie Preissner on The Late Late Show<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Author Marian Keyes and actor Stefanie Preissner joined  The Late Late Show to discuss their work on  The Walsh Sisters, an overarching adaptation of a number of Keyes\u2019 novels following the titular family.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The novels are beloved by Irish readers and the pair said they felt \u201cincredible pressure\u201d when  <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishexaminer.com\/lifestyle\/artsandculture\/arid-41574517.html\">casting<\/a> \u2014 particularly when choosing \u2018the ridiest man in Ireland\u2019.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cI was completely chill about the whole casting process, like everyone that you mentioned and cast I was like, \u2018She&#8217;s fabulous. He&#8217;s ideal.\u2019 But when it came to Luke Costello, I was besieged with people like \u2018No, he&#8217;s got to look like this and he&#8217;s got to be like that person\u2019,\u201d Keyes said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cI had to go to Dixie and the rest of the producers, and say, regarding the casting of Luke, do whatever you like with any of the others, but on this one and this one alone, do not fuck this up.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Preissner added: \u201cMarian&#8217;s fans are ardent, staunch people. Her fans are very, very intense. And so I felt the pressure very, very strongly.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Keyes was inspired by her own experience of alcohol addiction when writing the character of Rachel and she said she felt strange seeing her brought to life on screen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cIt made me very sad in a way that I had never experienced before, just how awful it is to have to do that to yourself and to the people who love you,\u201d Keyes said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cI just I experienced it in a completely new way. And I just think [Preissner] did such a great job of showing kind of how ordinary addiction is, that it doesn&#8217;t just happen to the people in the margins, and it doesn&#8217;t respect education or anything, and that crossing the line is such a small thing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cI think the more people know that it can happen to anyone, the easier it is for people to say, \u2018Oh, Christ, I might actually have a problem\u2019. Or for family members to say, \u2018actually, we might be the family that has an addict\u2019.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu caption\">Harvey Morrison\u2019s parents\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cIf Harvey had timely access to childcare, he wouldn\u2019t have missed so much of his childhood\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The  incredibly brave Gillian Sherratt\u00a0and Stephen Morrison\u00a0who joined us  tonight sharing the heartbreaking story of losing their son Harvey, and why they have formed a campaign in his\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/H2IsOCjjxw\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/H2IsOCjjxw<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Late Late Show (@RTELateLateShow) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RTELateLateShow\/status\/1969165088616575292?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">September 19, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\">The parents of the late  <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishexaminer.com\/news\/arid-41692563.html\">Harvey Morrison<\/a> spoke about their campaign for healthcare reform since his death in July.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Harvey was just nine years old when he passed away and Gillian Sherratt and Stephen Morrison are now calling for systemic changes to ensure timely and adequate care for disabled children. Three weeks ago over 1,000 people marched through Dublin in support of their cause and they spoke on the show about why thy are campaigning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cHis death feels incredibly unjust. Knowing now that he was only going to live to to nine, knowing that he spent the guts of three years in pain on a wait list, feels incredibly unjust,\u201d Sherratt said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cIf Harvey had had the timely access to healthcare, I feel like he wouldn&#8217;t have missed so much of his childhood, and we would have more memories as a family, more happy memories as a family, and not so many negative memories. I just feel like it robbed him of a large portion of his childhood and I think that&#8217;s incredibly unfair.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cHarvey&#8217;s not an isolated case. We see this up and down the country, unfortunately, where these children are being, for want of a better word, they&#8217;re being neglected. They&#8217;re not getting the care they need in the time that they need, and these children are sitting on a wait list to the point that they can become inoperable.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cI&#8217;ve seen children die. We&#8217;ve seen children end up with massive cardiac problems from this. Having lost Harvey, we don&#8217;t want any other families to go through what we&#8217;ve gone through.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Morrison added: \u201cThere&#8217;s been support from across the political spectrum, no matter if it&#8217;s left, right, centrist, but I think now is a very particular moment in time where we all have to come together and try get this sorted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cIt\u2019s not the Ireland that I grew up in. We don&#8217;t treat people like this.
