\n\tBangkok-based horror studio Fearfolks<\/a> is making its market debut at Busan\u2019s Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) with a slate of three horror and thriller titles slated for 2026 and 2027 releases.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe company\u2019s inaugural lineup includes \u201cCher,\u201d a supernatural revenge horror story; \u201cMutelu,\u201d a horror tale centered on fortune sharing rituals; and \u201cRinrada,\u201d a teen cyber-horror thriller.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cCher\u201d stars Arak Amornsupasiri (\u201cThe Stone,\u201d \u201cIn Youth We Trust\u201d) and is directed by Songsak Mongkolthong (\u201cMercury Man,\u201d \u201cThe Unborn\u201d). The film presents a modern horror retelling of ancient Thai folklore inspired by the legend of forest nymphs called nang mai.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMutelu\u201d marks a genre departure for International Emmy award winner Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying (\u201cHunger,\u201d \u201cBad Genius\u201d) and director Yanyong Kuruaungkoul (\u201cReady Set Love,\u201d \u201cApp War,\u201d \u201cMother Gamer\u201d). The film centers on Bua, played by Chutimon, who is born into misfortune, discovers a mysterious amulet allowing her to \u201cborrow\u201d others\u2019 good fortune, and unleashes malevolent spirits that threaten everything she holds dear.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cRinrada\u201d is a revenge horror tale starring real-life trailblazing trans actress Yoshi Rinrada Thurapan and child actor Nutthatcha Jessica Padovanis (\u201cDeath Whisperer,\u201d \u201cTaklee Genesis\u201d). The story follows an influencer who gets reincarnated for 28 days and returns to haunt the bullies who drove her to suicide.<\/p>\n

\n\tFearfolks was founded by former Night Edge exec Hans Audric Estialbo and Benetone Film Group\u2019s CEO and COO Rachvin Narula and Kulthep Narula. The company aims to create an expansive horror IP value chain encompassing creative development, financing, production and distribution. Fearfolks\u2019 initial releases include Neon\u2019s \u201cShelby Oaks,\u201d \u201cGood Boy\u201d and \u201cThe Toxic Avenger.\u201d The company plans to open an Indian distribution office by year\u2019s end.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFearfolks is a place \u2014 a community of horror aficionados: folks who embrace the dark, love spooks and thrills, and lavish on the experience of getting scared together,\u201d said Estialbo. \u201cFearfolks is their headquarters for all their horror needs. At the same time, Fearfolks serves as a voice for the new horror generation: those who have something to say, stories to share and audience to spook.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRachvin Narula added, \u201cThe independent film landscape is evolving, and filmmakers need a partner who understands both creative integrity and market realities. Our goal is to have creative storytelling at the heart of the company, with a bridge to strategic global outreach from the outset, ensuring a filmmaker\u2019s project is positioned for success.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKulthep Narula noted, \u201cWith Fearfolks, a one of a kind horror banner in Asia, Benetone Film Group creates a revolutionary ecosystem that encourages growth in the industry, from production and financing to global distribution and IP management.\u201d<\/p>\n
