Paul Merson has made a prediction relating to Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim, while Wayne Rooney has raised one \u201cbig question\u201d about the game vs Chelsea.<\/p>\n
Man Utd<\/strong><\/a> are under immense pressure to get a result from Saturday evening\u2019s game against Chelsea as the Red Devils have only won one of their first five games across all competitions this season.<\/p>\n Sack-threatened Amorim is among the favourites to be the next Premier League manager axe<\/strong><\/a>d and he\u2019s come under intense pressure following last weekend\u2019s 3-0 defeat to Man City at the Etihad.<\/p>\n There has been little sign of improvement under Amorim<\/strong><\/a>, who remains insistent on using his failing 3-4-3 formation.<\/p>\n Club legend Rooney has raised a \u201cbig question\u201d about the Chelsea game, with the \u201cpressure to come on again\u201d should Man Utd fail to win.<\/p>\n \u201cAmorim is under a lot of pressure, of course he is,\u201d Rooney told BBC Sport.<\/p>\n READ:\u00a0Potter, Amorim and Pereira locked in impossibly close Premier League sack race<\/a> \u201cWhen it becomes public that there has been a meeting with the owners, there are always going to be questions and he has had to bat them away.<\/p>\n \u201cThe big question today is how well United are going to play. If not, the pressure is going to come on again.\u201d<\/p>\n Merson, meanwhile, thinks \u201cit\u2019s just a matter of time\u201d until Amorim is dismissed, as he would \u201cbe shocked\u201d if Chelsea \u201cdon\u2019t get a result\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t see him lasting much longer,\u201d Merson said on Sky Sports.<\/p>\n MORE MAN UTD COVERAGE ON F365\u2026 \u201cHe believes in the way he plays and if he goes to another club, he\u2019ll play three at the back and be successful.<\/p>\n \u201cThe problem is that Manchester United is not made for three at the back.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s just a matter of time. I will be shocked if Chelsea don\u2019t get a result today.\u201d<\/p>\n Interestingly, Merson has also explained why he thinks Amorim would thrive as a \u201csmash hit\u201d at Chelsea.<\/p>\n \u201cHe believes in the way he plays and if he gets the sack, he\u2019ll go to another club, play three at the back and be successful. If he had gone to Chelsea, he\u2019d have been a smash, he\u2019d have been a hit, amazing, 100 per cent,\u201d Merson claimed.<\/p>\n \u201cChelsea have the players to play three at the back. They\u2019ve got wingbacks in Malo Gusto, Marc Cucurella, Reece James, even Pedro Neto could play there.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019ve got players who can get up and down. They are two of your most important players when you play three at the back.<\/p>\n \u201cThen he\u2019s got two holding midfield players, whether that be James playing with Moises Caicedo or Romeo Lavia when he\u2019s fit. Then you\u2019ve got Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer with Liam Delap or Joao Pedro up front, there\u2019s so many options.<\/p>\n \u201cYou look at this Man United team and it\u2019s just not made for three at the back, and that\u2019s the problem.
