He’s so golden! Harry Styles<\/a> hit a new personal record running the 2025 Berlin Marathon on September 21, and fans are so proud of the “Watermelon Sugar” singer. The former One Direction<\/a> star, 31, took a sweet photo with Paralympic gold medalist Richard Whitehead, who shared it on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“2.58 in Berlin with my mate!! Anyone know him!” teased the legendary athlete with a laughing emoji. In the photo, the “Sign of the Times” singer<\/a> was rocking a blue adidas jacket, black shorts, and hot pink Nike ZoomX AlphaFly 3 running sneakers, and throwing a thumbs up and a big smile post-race.<\/p>\n

Other photos posted by fans revealed the singer’s bib number from the race, which is one of six Abbott World Marathon Majors. Putting that number into the BMW Berlin Marathon’s database<\/a> reveals he ran under the fake name ‘Sted Sarandos’ \u2014 seemingly a play on the name of Ted Sarandos, the Co-CEO of Netflix since 2020.<\/p>\n

Styles’ completion certificate reveals that he finished the race in 02:59:13, with an average time per kilometer of 4:15 minutes, or about 6:48 minutes per mile. While this is a major accomplishment, the Berlin course is infamous for delivering especially fast times because it is so flat. Still, many fans were thrilled, and celebrated<\/a> his joining the “sub-3 hour club.”<\/p>\n

“Harry running sub 3 wasn\u2019t in my bingo book,” said one fan, with another joking, “Impressive! His running is really going in one direction.” A third teased, “Now he beats me in every aspect.”<\/p>\n

This is the second marathon Styles has fun in 2025 alone. He first appeared at the Tokyo Marathon<\/a> in March, another of the Abbott World Marathon Majors. There, he clocked a net finishing time of 3:24:07, and beat out more than 20,000 runners to place 6,010th. He placed 2232th (and 519th in his age group) for his Berlin race.<\/p>\n

The other Abbot World Marathon Majors include Boston, London, Chicago, and New York, so he may well pop up at one of those next!<\/p>\n
