Jimmy Kimmel saved Matt Damon from almost dying at the late-night host\u2019s house.<\/p>\n

Kimmel revealed that Damon was once having dinner at his home, when he choked on a pork rib that Kimmel cooked. Kimmel said the piece of meat was stuck in Damon\u2019s throat for an hour and a half.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said, \u2018We have got to get him to the hospital,\u2019 because if he dies in my house, I\u2019m going to prison for the rest of my life,\u201d he recalled to Variety<\/a>. \u201cI will never be able to explain this as anything other than a murder.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel said that he and Damon\u2019s brother found a solution on YouTube \u2014 eating little bits of bread slowly to get the rib to go down into Damon\u2019s stomach.<\/p>\n

Kimmel noted that the bread actually \u201csaved him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe tried the Heimlich many times,\u201d he shared. \u201cIt was too far down.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel, 57, and Damon, 54, are close friends and have also been in a long-running \u201cfeud\u201d<\/a> in which they publicly trade insults.<\/p>\n

The faux feud began in 2006 when Kimmel off-handedly joked that he\u2019d bumped the Oscar-winning actor from an episode of his talk show, \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a bad show \u2026 The guests were bad, and I was feeling pretty bad about myself at the end of the program,\u201d Kimmel told NPR<\/a>\u00a0in 2013.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I decided to say, for the amusement of one of our producers who was standing next to me, \u2018I want to apologize to Matt Damon. We ran out of time.\u2019 And he got a kick out of it, the producer, so I just started doing it every night to amuse him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel and Damon have been in a long-running faux feud in which they publicly insult each other, though they\u2019re close friends in real life along with Damon\u2019s BFF, Ben Affleck. Eric Charbonneau<\/p>\n

Kimmel shared that he randomly picked Damon at the moment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was trying to think of an A-list star, and somebody we absolutely would not bump if he was on the show,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
