{"id":80423,"date":"2025-09-23T06:58:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-23T06:58:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/80423\/"},"modified":"2025-09-23T06:58:08","modified_gmt":"2025-09-23T06:58:08","slug":"firefighters-battling-fire-raging-for-7-hours-at-hong-kong-recycling-site","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/80423\/","title":{"rendered":"Firefighters battling fire raging for 7 hours at Hong Kong recycling site"},"content":{"rendered":"<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Firefighters have been battling a blaze at a recycling site in Hong Kong\u2019s Tsing Yi for about seven hours since it broke out, two days after another fire erupted near the same spot.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The Fire Services Department was alerted at 4.12am on Tuesday that a fire had broken out at a recycling site at the junction of Tsing Sheung Road and Hong Wan Road in Tsing Yi in the New Territories.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The No 1 alarm fire was 50m (164 feet) long and 50m wide, the department said. It sent 11 fire engines, two fire boats and an ambulance to the scene.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The firefighting operation was still under way as of 11am, according to the department.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The blaze consumed metal and electronic waste, but no one was injured or evacuated, it added.
