Bollywood’s Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan\u2014who recently received his first National Film Award for Best Actor\u2014once again lived up to his title as the ‘King of Hearts.’ At the 71st National Film Awards held in the national capital, a heartwarming moment unfolded when SRK was seen warmly greeting veteran actor Mohanlal and his wife, Suchitra, as they arrived after him. In a gracious gesture, Shah Rukh also helped arrange the reserved chair for Suchitra as she took her seat.<\/p>\n
Another delightful moment from the ceremony involved Shah Rukh and his longtime co-star and friend, Rani Mukerji. After receiving their awards, SRK, Rani, and Vikrant Massey returned to their seats. While Rani and Vikrant wore their medallions with ease, Shah Rukh struggled a bit with his lanyard. Seated next to him, Rani stepped in to help him adjust it. The now-viral video shows Rani fixing the medal as SRK smiled, later adjusting his salt-and-pepper hair. Ever the charmer, he then checked Vikrant\u2019s medal and gave him a thumbs-up before showing it off playfully to his manager, Pooja Dadlani.<\/p>\n
Bollywood had a strong presence at the 71st National Film Awards. Rani Mukerji bagged the Best Actress award for her powerful performance in ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway,’ while Shah Rukh Khan and Vikrant Massey shared the Best Actor honour. SRK was awarded for his blockbuster role in Jawan, marking a milestone as his first-ever National Award, while Vikrant earned acclaim for his moving portrayal in the critically lauded ’12th Fail.’<\/p>\n
’12th Fail’ also won Best Feature Film, while ‘Kathal: A Jackfruit Mystery’ was named Best Hindi Film. Adding to the celebration, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ won the National Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, and Vaibhavi Merchant received the award for Best Choreography for the same film.<\/p>\n
