Vladimir Putin<\/a> has been urged to commit what has been described as a “terrible sin” by deploying nuclear weapons <\/a>across Europe and bomb two major cities that are very close to Ireland.<\/p>\n These shocking suggestions were made by Sergei Karaganov, 73, also known as Professor Doomsday<\/a>, who is the honorary chairman of the Russian Council for Foreign and Defence Policy. He argued that the use of tactical atomic weapons is the only way to prevent a wider conflict between the US and Russia.<\/p>\n Karaganov joins an increasing number of Putin <\/a>supporters and Kremlin <\/a>voices advocating for nuclear escalation in the Ukraine conflict and confrontation with NATO. These comments come after what seems to be a change in stance from US President Donald Trump<\/a>, who has hinted that Ukraine could feasibly reclaim all territory taken by Putin’s forces.<\/p>\n Karaganov stated: “The use of nuclear weapons, in extreme cases, in the most dreadful case, is a terrible sin,” according to reports from the Express. “But not using them and condemning your people and the world to a major war is an even greater sin. That is an even more terrible sin.”<\/p>\n While appearing on Russian state television, the political scientist reiterated Moscow’s propaganda that often cites a supposed threat coming from the country’s western border with NATO allies<\/a>. He added: “We must abandon some of the foolish ideas devised by our predecessors who still say that a nuclear war shouldn’t happen and that it can never be won,” reports the Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n “This is absolute nonsense. A nuclear war can be won, God forbid it happens. We must first break the will of the European elites.<\/p>\n “What I call breaking the back of Europe, in the hope that… normal, healthy forces can rise again in Europe. I fear that if we are not prepared to use the most decisive measures, the most terrible weapons.<\/p>\n “And do not abandon the complacent notion that a nuclear war cannot be won, we could find ourselves in a very long, attritional war with this still-rich Europe. And ultimately, God forbid, exhaust our people. And most importantly, we could allow this war to spread to all of humanity.<\/p>\n “This European contagion must be eradicated. We need to prepare to strike, or at least make them understand that we are ready. It won’t necessarily be a nuclear strike… but we must prepare.”<\/p>\n Top television propagandist Vladimir Solovyov – who advocates for nuclear strikes – smirked and laughed as he called on his evening show for Oxford and Cambridge in England to be bombed to wipe out Britain’s elite and their institutions.<\/p>\n Solovyov claimed that the “idiots” in power and the Royal Family weren’t actually running the nation, but rather a shadowy ‘establishment’.<\/p>\n He asked: “Who really governs Great Britain?”.<\/p>\n “Seriously speaking, we’ve never analysed this issue… We can’t seriously think that the bunch of idiots who actually hold power there, pretending to be prime ministers, are actually in charge.<\/p>\n “We understand perfectly well that the Royal Family shouldn’t be allowed within cannon shot of feeding the birds.”<\/p>\n![\"Donald](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/0_UN-General-Assembly-25266638170757.jpg\")
