Its off-centred time display, Panorama Date, and moon-phase complication have become defining features of the collection, embodying the Saxon approach to precision, order, and poetry. Along the way, the PanoMaticLunar has experimented with colour, moving from the classic silver<\/a> and blue dials<\/a> into other executions such as salmon opaline<\/a> and forest green<\/a>. Now, to celebrate 180 years of Saxon watchmaking, Glash\u00fctte Original unveils the most exclusive version yet: the PanoMaticLunar Anniversary Edition, limited to 180 pieces and crafted from platinum, featuring an aventurine dial and a new-generation calibre.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Anniversary Edition retains the familiar proportions of the PanoMaticLunar<\/a> but renders them in platinum for the first time. The 40mm case is 12.8mm thick and measures 47mm lug-to-lug. Platinum lends the watch an added gravitas, underscoring its celebratory status. A domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides protects the dial, while a sapphire crystal caseback reveals the movement within. Water resistance is 50m. All classic for the collection<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The dark blue aventurine glass dial is a first for Glash\u00fctte Original. Aventurine or \u201cgoldfluss\u201d is a glass material with copper inclusions that shimmer like a starry sky. It is used for the main dial and for the moon-phase disc at two o\u2019clock, where a white mother-of-pearl moon floats within the night-sky background. The layout is familiar, with the off-centred displays for hours, minutes, and small seconds on the left, and the signature Panorama Date on the right \u2013 still one of the best in class, with its non-overlapping discs. Slender white-gold hands with Super-LumiNova and solid-gold applied markers complete the composition, maintaining legibility and enhancing the overall refined appearance.<\/p>\n

The PanoMaticLunar Anniversary Edition introduces the new calibre 92-14 to the series, replacing the long-serving calibre 90-02<\/a>. The in-house automatic 92-14 operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations\/hour and represents a significant technical upgrade. Its silicon balance spring offers resistance to magnetism and temperature variation, and the single barrel delivers an extended 100-hour power reserve, more than doubling the autonomy of its predecessor (the 42-hour power reserve of the classic model<\/a> was its weakest point). Through the caseback, traditional Saxon finishing is on display, including the three-quarter plate, blued screws, and hand-finishing, but with a darker galvanic grey coating that sharpens contrast and lends a contemporary look.<\/p>\n

The watch is worn on a blue Louisiana alligator leather strap or a blue synthetic strap, both closed with a platinum folding clasp.
