When the garda\u00ed carried out a roadside check on the driver, he was found to be on a provisional license and unaccompanied. It was found that the same driver had his vehicle seized twice in June for driving unaccompanied. The 2010 Lexus driven on this occasion was seized by the garda\u00ed under Section 109A of the Road Traffic Act, 1961.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">The teenager was arrested on the roadside and conveyed to New Ross Garda Station and was charged with dangerous driving. He has since been released and is due to appear before Wexford District Court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Commenting on the seizure, garda\u00ed said: \u201cDriving in this manner puts lives at risk. An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na will continue to target dangerous driving and take appropriate action to keep our roads safe.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Meanwhile, the car owner must now make an application to the District Court, should they wish to have the seized vehicle released, where the judge will decide on the matter.
