Tell Me Lies, the bingeworthy drama starring Tom Ellis and Grace Van Patten, is finally back on the BBC<\/a> in the UK, with the twisty series set to hook audiences all over again with eight new episodes. <\/p>\n

The series, which is based on Carola Lovering’s 2018 novel of the same name, follows New York students Lucy Albright (Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) as they begin a romance, with their story being told over the course of eight years.<\/p>\n

After premiering on Hulu in 2022, the series returned last year as Ellis joined the cast as Oliver, but UK fans have had to wait as the second season hasn’t been made available in the country – until now.<\/p>\n

After a wait of just over a year, the second season of Tell Me Lies is now available to stream<\/a> on BBC iPlayer<\/a>, with viewers being given the chance to binge all eight episodes after they were added to the service at the same time.<\/p>\n

The drama has been positively received by critics thus far, with the first season currently having an approval rating of 75% on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a> from 12 reviews. The follow-up doesn’t have a score, though all four reviews are positive. <\/p>\n

“Tell Me Lies season two thrusts viewers right back into that charged atmosphere, picking up shortly after the explosive events of the first-season finale as Lucy begins her sophomore year,” opined AV Club<\/a>. <\/p>\n

“Tell Me Lies season two certainly won\u2019t be to everyone\u2019s taste, but those who enjoyed season one are sure to find the second instalment equally juicy,” wrote Collider<\/a> as they called it TV’s “twistiest, most toxic show”.<\/p>\n

“Between the old lies and secrets that everyone is keeping and the new ones that have just been revealed, the show redefines ‘guilty pleasure’ as a show where the guilty get pleasured\u2026 and pretty much everyone is guilty of something,” wrote Decider<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Tell Me Lies isn’t the only series to come to BBC iPlayer in recent weeks, with Australian period drama The Newsreader returning to the streamer with its third and final season earlier this month<\/a>.<\/p>\n
