It\u2019s not a pirate\u2019s life for Keira Knightley<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The English actress revealed if she has any plans to revisit her role as Elizabeth Swann in the \u201cPirates of the Caribbean\u201d franchise.<\/p>\n

After Orlando Bloom said he hopes to get everyone back for a new \u201cPirates\u201d film, Knightley admitted she wasn\u2019t even sure where her character ended up.<\/p>\n

A reporter from Entertainment Tonight<\/a> asked Knightley, 40, if there had \u201cbeen any conversations\u201d about returning.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere haven\u2019t been any conversations. No,\u201d she responded, to which the reporter inquired, \u201cWhere would you like to see that character next?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat happened to her?\u201d she asked before confirming if she was actually in three movies. \u201cIt was a very long time ago and I also don\u2019t remember what happened to her. So I\u2019m not quite sure where she should go afterwards. She should be a pirate, right?\u201d<\/p>\n

Knightley starred alongside Bloom, 48, and Johnny Depp in the first three \u201cPirates of the Caribbean\u201d films, which were released in 2003, 2006 and 2007. <\/p>\n

She was just 18 when the first movie hit theaters.<\/p>\n

In August, Bloom said \u201cthe way to win\u201d with another film is to reunite all the original players.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything is in the writing, right? Everything is on the page, and I think there\u2019s definitely, I\u2019m sure there\u2019s a way to create something,\u201d he said at Fan Expo Chicago, per\u00a0Entertainment Weekly<\/a>. \u201cI would personally love to see everybody back. I think the way to win on that one is to get everybody back. If they can, and if everybody wanted to go back.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy thing is, if the script was great and \u2014 ideally it was everybody \u2014 it\u2019d be kind of like in for a penny, in for a pound, you know,\u201d continued Bloom.<\/p>\n

Knightley has previously discussed how the Disney franchise<\/a> positively and negatively impacted her life while speaking with\u00a0the Times<\/a> in 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a funny thing when you have something that was making and breaking you at the same time,\u201d she mused. \u201cI was seen as s\u2013t because of them, and yet, because they did so well, I was given the opportunity to do the films that I ended up getting Oscar nominations for.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were the most successful films I\u2019ll ever be a part of, and they were the reason that I was taken down publicly,\u201d Knightley added.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo they\u2019re a very confused place in my head.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Due to her experience, Knightley has no plans of joining a franchise ever again.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe hours are insane. It\u2019s years of your life, you have no control over where you\u2019re filming, how long you\u2019re filming, what you\u2019re filming,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

The movies also took a toll on Knightley\u2019s mental health. <\/p>\n

In 2018, she opened up about suffering a mental breakdown and being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder when she was 22.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn that classic trauma way I don\u2019t remember it,\u201d shared Knightley. \u201cThere\u2019s been a complete delete, and then some things will come up, and I\u2019ll suddenly have a very bodily memory of it because, ultimately, it\u2019s public shaming, isn\u2019t it? It\u2019s obviously part of my psyche, given how young I was when it happened. I\u2019ve been made around it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile in 2022, rumors swirled that Depp, 62, was set to reprise his role as the iconic Jack Sparrow.<\/p>\n

\u201cJohnny\u00a0is set to return as Captain Jack Sparrow and is scheduled to start filming at the beginning of February at a top-secret location in the UK,\u201d a source told The Sun, adding that the project is in the \u201cearly stages.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAll the other details are being kept under lock and key. The whole project is shrouded in secrecy and Disney want to keep everything under wraps as best they can,\u201d the insider added.<\/p>\n

Despite the first five films grossing more than $4 billion worldwide, there hasn\u2019t been a new movie since 2017. <\/p>\n

In 2022, Depp was asked if he would return to the franchise during his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Disney came to you with $300 million dollars and a million alpacas, nothing on this Earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a \u2018Pirates Of The Caribbean\u2019 film?\u201d Heard\u2019s lawyer asked at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is true,\u201d Depp replied at the time.<\/p>\n
