{"id":89778,"date":"2025-09-27T23:47:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-27T23:47:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/89778\/"},"modified":"2025-09-27T23:47:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-27T23:47:07","slug":"multi-million-euro-facelift-completed-at-limerick-supermarket","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/89778\/","title":{"rendered":"Multi-million euro facelift completed at Limerick supermarket"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TESCO Ireland has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/section\/233\/business\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">opened<\/a> its store at the Crescent Shopping Centre following a \u20ac5m renovation.<\/p>\n<p>The store has expanded into a neighbouring unit at the Dooradoyle shopping centre, with the retailer saying this will offer customers \u201cmore choice, more space, and a new look\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The upgraded supermarket now spans 1,600 square feet and features new shelving, lighting, modern refrigeration, and better facilities for staff working for the firm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ MORE:\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/news\/deaths\/1903057\/an-infectious-personality-and-a-quick-wit-tributes-paid-to-limerick-s-luke-grimes.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">&#8216;An infectious personality and a quick wit&#8217;: Tributes paid to Limerick&#8217;s Luke Grimes<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Among the products on sale at Tesco Ireland are Old Irish Creamery Cheese from Effin, which was showcased at the re-opening.<\/p>\n<p>Store manager Michael Fitzgerald, who leads a team of 95 local colleagues, says the store transformation has been well received by customers in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCustomers have been remarking about the real difference they can see and feel when they shop in Tesco Dooradoyle now.<\/p>\n<p>Every part of the store has been upgraded to make shopping easier and more enjoyable. We\u2019re especially proud to support so many fantastic local producers. My team has been amazing as we\u2019ve kept the store open to serve customers while we\u2019ve refitted it too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Retail operations director Paul Healy added: \u201cThis renovation is about more than just a new look; it\u2019s about investing in the Limerick community.
