THERE was udder chaos on a major Limerick<\/a> route this weekend after over 100 cattle broke out.<\/p>\n

Clips of cattle on the moo-ve on the Dock Road roundabout have been shared widely on social media.<\/p>\n

One motorist caught up in the traffic incident on Friday night posted: \u201cSomewhere in Limerick there is one upset farmer.\u201d They also said, \u201cA full herd up through the Limerick Tunnel\u201d.<\/p>\n

However, it is not confirmed if the cattle did come out on the Dock Road via the tunnel. Contact has been made with the\u00a0 operators of Limerick Tunnel.<\/p>\n

TII posted on X (formerly Twitter) at 8pm on Friday night: \u201cAnimals on road on Limerick Tunnel between J2-Dock Road and J3-Coonagh (Northbound).\u201d<\/p>\n

In a follow up post 18 minutes later, TII said the incident had been cleared.<\/p>\n

A garda spokesperson confirmed garda\u00ed attended the scene of cattle on the Dock Road West Roundabout, Limerick on Friday, September 26 at approximately 8pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cNo injuries were reported,\u201d said a garda spokesperson.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It is not known who owns the cattle or what field they broke out of. Thankfully there were no collisions due to the cattle and the animals didn\u2019t get spooked.<\/p>\n

The owner of the cattle is asked to contact Limerick Live at news@limerickeader.ie<\/a>\u00a0if they would like to thank people for helping to round them up.<\/p>\n
