towards the end of this week and into next weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"irishmirror\">Humberto, which has officially been classed as a Category 5 hurricane <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nhc.noaa.gov\/text\/refresh\/MIATCPAT3+shtml\/280233.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"and has prompted warnings from the US National Hurricane CenterLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">and has prompted warnings from the US National Hurricane Center<\/a> for the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Bermuda and parts of the US east coast, is set to track northwestward over the Atlantic Ocean in the coming days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"irishmirror\"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishmirror.ie\/all-about\/met-eireann\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Met \u00c9ireannLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Met \u00c9ireann<\/a> had warned that the presence of Humberto, which will become an ex-hurricane as it tracks across the Atlantic, has caused \u201ca good deal of uncertainty\u201d in the forecast.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" hurricane(Image: National Hurricane Center)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"irishmirror\">That forecast suggests there will be unsettled conditions and plenty of heavy rain from Tuesday onwards, with the potential impact of Humberto not likely to be known until the end of next week heading into next weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"irishmirror\">In a Saturday night update on X, Alan O\u2019Reilly of Carlow Weather said that Humberto \u201cneeds watching\u201d in terms of the capacity of the remnants of the hurricane to impact conditions here in a week\u2019s time.<\/p>\n<p>Content cannot be displayed without consent<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"irishmirror\">With or without added adverse conditions from ex-Hurricane Humberto, the outlook for the coming days is pretty bleak amid a likely return to the wet and windy conditions that dominated early September before a welcome relief in recent days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"irishmirror\">After relatively pleasant days on Sunday and Monday, Met \u00c9ireann has said there will be \u201cfrequent rainfall\u201d from Tuesday onwards, which will be \u201cmost persistent across the west and north\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"irishmirror\">Temperatures will be slightly above normal for this time of year and it will feel quite mild at times, but it will be breezy too, with the unsettled conditions set to persist until at least next weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"irishmirror\">Check out the data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"irishmirror\">A dry and bright day for most with isolated showers and spells of sunshine. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees in a light westerly or variable breeze.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"irishmirror\">Tonight will be dry with clear spells at first, along with some mist and fog. Cloud will increase from the west overnight with patchy light rain and drizzle moving into western coasts by morning. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 8 degrees, though it will turn milder by morning, in light southerly winds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"irishmirror\"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">Monday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"irishmirror\">A cloudier start on Monday with plenty of dry weather, though isolated patches of light rain and drizzle will spread eastwards across the country. There will be occasional bright spells in the midlands and east. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds, fresh on western coasts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"irishmirror\">Cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle spreading from the west early in the night. A milder night with lowest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"irishmirror\"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">Tuesday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"irishmirror\">A dull and damp day with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. The best of any dry spells will be in the east and southeast.
