\n\tA few hours before Clairo<\/a> took the stage at All Things Go<\/a> at New York\u2019s Forest Hills Stadium on Sunday evening, she shared a rare TikTok<\/a> post reflecting on the milestone performance. \u201cI really never thought that we would be able to headline a show like this,\u201d she said. \u201cI always dreamt of it, you know, but it\u2019s so hard to tell what will happen.\u201d The singer-songwriter was living the dream, but it came to an abrupt end when her microphone was turned off during \u201cJuna\u201d due to a strict noise ordinance at the venue. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe festival cut us off. No idea why,\u201d Clairo wrote on X<\/a> shortly after 10 p.m., when the venue curfew typically goes into effect. \u201cReally sad we couldn\u2019t do our big finish, more surprised they cut my mic mid song. Sad honestly doesn\u2019t even explain it \u2013 I\u2019m sorry.\u201d In a follow-up post about 20 minutes later, she added: \u201cThey didn\u2019t tell us about the noise ordinance btw.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tClairo made it through 18 songs, but was unable to perform fan-favorites \u201cBags\u201d and \u201cSofia,\u201d which usually closes out each of her live sets. In a video from the show, the singer is seen asking crew members to turn her microphone back on, but they declined in compliance with the venue policy. She told a fan on X, \u201cI asked if I could pay [a fine to finish the set] apparently there was nothing I could do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe got cut off but that was a beautiful show nonetheless. I\u2019m really sorry. And I love you,\u201d Clairo wrote on Instagram. \u201cI wish I could have had more time with you . But I loved every minute of it!\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tClairo also performed at All Things Go in Columbia, Maryland at Merriweather Post Pavilion on Saturday. Her set came earlier in the day and featured an abridged version of the setlist she planned for her headlining set. <\/p>\n

\n\tShe continued: \u201cI\u2019m so thankful. Thank you for being here, and thanks if you\u2019re coming tonight. If you\u2019re not, I wish you were. It\u2019s been a really beautiful experience. I\u2019ve spent my last however many years really dedicating myself to this and really trying and seeing what would happen, and starting a lot of new chapters in my life. It just feels so amazing to be at this place. I don\u2019t take it for granted. I\u2019m feeling crazy, will probably cry later. But thank you.\u201d <\/p>\n
