A LIMERICK<\/a> boxer said his late mum, who passed away after a short illness, was his biggest supporter in life and \u201cI loved you with all my heart\u201d.<\/p>\n

Gretta McCormack O\u2019 Shea, of Chesterfield Grove, Castletroy View, Limerick city and formerly of St Mary\u2019s Park, died last Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Her passing is deeply mourned by her family and friends and by her second family in Unity Gospel Choir.<\/p>\n

The beloved wife of Willie had five children – Vanessa, Graham, Amy, Sophie and August – who are all heartbroken. Pro boxer Graham posted a beautiful tribute to his mam on his Instagram page.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey say a boy’s first love is his mother, well that’s a true statement. I loved you from the day I was born. I will miss you something terrible,\u201d wrote Graham (pictured below with Gretta), who asked his mam to watch over all the family at this hard time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Graham said Gretta was \u201cone of a kind\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cRest in peace, mam. I love you,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

Gretta will also be very sadly missed by her loving daughter-in-law Lauren, her cherished grandchildren Ellie, Josh, Kate, Logan, Dylan, Molly-Mae and Maddison, brothers Gus, Simon and Scott, sisters Allison and Tracey, her best friends Hazel and Ger, nephews, nieces, extended family and a wide circle of friends.<\/p>\n

Unity Gospel Choir Limerick also took to social media to announce with deep sadness the death of their director and fearless leader.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are completely bereft. Life will never be the same. She was the heart of this choir and her family and we are better for having known her,\u201d they said in a post.<\/p>\n

Countless condolences have been written on rip.ie<\/p>\n

One wrote: \u201cTo Gretta\u2019s family my deepest sympathy. I remember Gretta singing in pubs in Limerick when I was younger, and then with the choir.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat a wonderful voice, she was a force of nature. May her soul rest in peace and her beautiful voice sing in heaven with the angels.\u201d<\/p>\n
