While their relationship seemed like practical magic, Keith Urban<\/strong><\/a> and Nicole Kidman<\/strong><\/a> are going their separate ways<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The news is surprising for many fans, who looked to the now estranged couple\u2019s almost 20-year marriage as a pillar of romance. Plus, Nicole and Keith looked still the happy couple during their last public outing together just three months ago.<\/p>\n

Indeed, the Big Little Lies star and country star were all smiles as they took in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 group D match between Los Angeles Football Club and Esperance de Tunis in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 20.<\/p>\n

Then, just five days later, Nicole took to Instagram to celebrate her 19th wedding anniversary with Keith in the form of a sweet photo of the pair, Nicole\u2019s arms wrapped around Keith\u2019s shoulders as he held her close. She captioned the June 25 homage, alongside a red heart, \u201cHappy Anniversary Baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

But despite the pair\u2019s appearances<\/a>, E! News confirmed on Sept. 29 that the couple\u2014parents to daughters Sunday Rose<\/strong><\/a>, 17, and Faith Margaret<\/strong><\/a>, 14\u2014had broken up, and that the pair had been living apart \u201csince the beginning of the summer.\u201d<\/p>\n

And while neither Nicole nor Keith have spoken publicly about their split, E! News learned that the decision to break up was one-sided, and that Nicole had been trying to save their marriage since they made the decision to live apart.<\/p>\n

E! News also learned that their daughters have been living with Nicole in their shared home in Nashville, with Keith\u2014who is currently on tour and is due to perform next in Hershey, Pa., on Oct. 2\u2014residing in a separate home in Tennessee\u2019s capital.<\/p>\n

The breakup also comes two months after Nicole\u2014also mom to kids Bella<\/strong>, 32, and Connor<\/strong>, 30, with ex-husband Tom Cruise<\/strong><\/a>\u2014filed an application<\/a> to become a resident of Portugal without listing Keith on the form.<\/p>\n

However, a source with knowledge of the situation told E! News at the time that the \u201cBlue Ain\u2019t Your Color\u201d singer\u2019s absence was simply due to scheduling conflicts.<\/p>\n

And while Nicole and Keith have so far remained mum on their split, over the years they\u2019ve never shied away from sharing their love for one another. As Keith put it during a 2020 appearance on Dax Shephard<\/strong>‘s Armchair Expert podcast<\/a>, “She’s the one that I was searching for my whole life.”<\/p>\n
