PetaPixel <a href=\"https:\/\/petapixel.com\/2024\/07\/30\/unbelievable-photo-of-olympic-surfers-floating-celebration-goes-viral\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">covered<\/a> the viral sports photo when it was captured during the 2024 Paris Olympics. <\/p>\n<p>The World Sports Photography Awards, the world\u2019s foremost sports photo competition, has announced Canon as its Official Imaging Partner for the upcoming 2026 edition of the contest. <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldsportsphotographyawards.com\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"follow external noopener nofollow\">World Sports Photography Awards 2026<\/a> is officially open for entry, and photographers can enter up to 10 images taken between December 2024 and November 2025 across a selection of 24 categories. The competition, judged by leading figures in sports, media, photography, and the creative industries, is open to all and entirely free to enter. <\/p>\n<p>Canon\u2019s sponsorship of the awards is a big deal.
