\u201cSilicon Valley\u201d star Kumail Nanjiani<\/a> just revealed why tech billionaire Elon Musk wasn\u2019t a fan of the hit HBO show.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on the Aug. 10 episode<\/a> of Mike Birbiglia\u2019s \u201cWorking It Out\u201d podcast, the Marvel<\/a> actor recalled how the series received a lousy review from the Tesla titan when Nanjiani met him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe didn\u2019t like the show,\u201d the actor dished.<\/p>\n

Apparently, Musk wasn\u2019t amused by the series\u2019 2014 opener, which featured Kid Rock performing at a posh tech party while \u201cseven nerdy dudes\u201d stood by with no one \u201cpaying attention.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s such a funny opening,\u201d Nanjiani told Birbiglia.<\/p>\n

Apparently, the scene didn\u2019t seem to match Musk\u2019s experiences.<\/p>\n

As the actor remembered, \u201cElon was upset. He was like, \u2018Well, the parties I go to are much cooler than these parties.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

That seemed like a given to Nanjiani, who recalled thinking, \u201cYeah, man. You\u2019re one of the richest people in the world. We\u2019re, like, losers on the show. Of course your parties are better than my parties. What are you talking about?\u201d<\/p>\n

The Journal\u2019s deep dive into the mogul\u2019s alleged drug use cited several sources who claimed they had direct knowledge of Musk recreationally experimenting with LSD, cocaine, ecstasy and psychedelic mushrooms, often at exclusive parties.<\/p>\n
