Editor’s Note: In 2021, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!
Welcome to the finale of our highly anticipated Lebanon Valley Soft Pretzel Wars.
Five entrants from the Valley competed to be declared the winner of Best Soft Pretzel in The Valley.

We traveled to each entrant and tried one regular soft pretzel and one other item from the menu made with a soft pretzel.
We got a chance to try some amazing soft pretzels across the Valley. No matter what your preference is, there is one for you here.
Let’s review the pretzels we had.
Baked With a Twist – A well salted and evenly baked soft pretzel that has a nice blended flavor of Amish and Philly styles.

Foltz’s – An Amish style pretzel, strong on the butter flavor with a doughy bite.

Dutch-Way – A great pretzel for the butter lovers as it is literally dipped into liquid butter before you get it.

Shuey’s – The traditional Bavarian style. Baked to a crisp with plenty of salt.

The Pretzel Hut – An Amish style pretzel with good flavor, a soft crunch, and a soft center.

But which one will be our winner? The critic crew was divided on our pick. We we deliberated and we came to a consensus winner.
Congratulations to Baked With A Twist, our winner of Soft Pretzel Wars!

This was a pretzel that left a mark on our taste buds and one that we will get quite a bit.
We encourage all of our followers to sample each pretzel in our war and see if you agree with our decision. We know you won’t be disappointed with these pretzels.
