A 4.6-magnitude earthquake was detected in Tehran, Iran, as reported on Tuesday by the country’s state media, which cited data from the national seismological center.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.21 miles), according to records from the center. Fortunately, there were no casualties or material damage reported as a result of the quake.
The quake struck the border region between Tehran and the province of Mazandaran, as confirmed by Iran’s state broadcaster, IRIB. This incident has raised awareness but did not result in harm to the population or infrastructure.
