WASHINGTON (TNND) — U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) on Wednesday touted its month-long naval blockade of Iran, announcing that 67 commercial ships were redirected, and 15 humanitarian vessels were allowed to pass.

“Four weeks ago, CENTCOM began implementing the blockade against ships entering and exiting Iran’s ports. As of today, American forces have redirected 67 commercial vessels, allowed 15 supporting humanitarian aid to pass, and disabled 4 to ensure compliance,” CENTCOM posted on X with a video of its efforts.

“Earlier this week, CENTCOM forces ensured that 2 commercial vessels turned around to comply with the blockade after communicating via radio and firing warning shots from small arms, clearly demonstrating that U.S. enforcement remains in full effect.”

According to the video, more than 15,000 U.S. troops, 200-plus aircraft, and over 20 warships have been used in the naval blockade.

On Friday, CENTCOM announced in a post on X, “There are currently more than 70 tankers that U.S. forces are preventing from entering or leaving Iranian ports. These commercial ships have the capacity to transport over 166 million barrels of Iranian oil worth an estimated $13 billion-plus.”

The U.S.-Israeli war with Iran has lasted more than two months.

On Monday, President Trump rejected Iran’s latest ceasefire proposal.

“It’s unbelievably weak — one of the weakest I’ve seen. It’s on life support,” Trump said.
