WANA (May 14) – Iran’s Foreign Minister said: “We have created no obstruction in the Strait of Hormuz. It is the United States that has imposed a blockade.”
Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said in an interview on the sidelines of the BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting that the Strait of Hormuz is currently suffering more than anything from U.S. aggression and the blockade imposed on it.
He added: “From our perspective, the Strait of Hormuz remains open to all commercial vessels, but they must cooperate with our naval forces.”
Araghchi stated: “We have created no obstacle. It is the United States that has imposed the blockade, and I hope this situation will end with the removal of this illegal blockade imposed by the U.S.”
