Iraq’s Council of Representatives approved 14 ministerial appointments
by absolute majority vote Thursday, filling key cabinet posts across the
government’s economic, social, and diplomatic portfolios, according to votes
recorded by the chamber.

The confirmed appointments are as follows:

-Ministry of Oil: Basim Muhammad Khudhair al-Abadi

-Ministry of Industry and Minerals: Muhammad Nouri Ahmad al-Karbouli

-Ministry of Electricity: Ali Saad Wahib

-Ministry of Health: Abd al-Hussein Aziz

-Ministry of Environment: Sarwa Abd al-Wahid

-Ministry of Agriculture: Abd al-Rahim Jasim

-Ministry of Water Resources: Muthanna Ali Mahdi

-Ministry of Trade: Mustafa Nizar Jumaa

-Ministry of Justice: Khalid Shwani

-Ministry of Transport: Wahab Salman Muhammad

-Ministry of Finance: Falih al-Sari

-Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Fuad Hussein

-Ministry of Communications: Mustafa Jabbar Sanad

The votes were conducted under Iraq’s constitutional requirement for an
absolute parliamentary majority to confirm ministerial appointments.

The chamber denied confidence to the nominated candidates for the
ministries of Planning, Culture, Reconstruction, Education, and Interior,
according to Shafaq News correspondents.
