Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): This diplomatic source confirmed a few minutes ago that Asim Munir has left for Iran and is scheduled to meet with high-ranking officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The meeting will take place simultaneously with the presence of Pakistani Interior Minister Sayed Mohsin Raza Naqvi in Tehran for the third consecutive day.
The Pakistani army chief thanked Iran and the United States for their trust in that country to advance peace diplomacy in the region and stated that Pakistan’s mediation efforts will continue.
Previously, Field Marshal Sayed Asim Munir made a three-day visit to Tehran with the aim of advancing the mediation process and met with high-ranking Iranian civil and military officials.
