Islam Times – Israeli warplanes launch a series of airstrikes on eastern and southern Lebanon, while artillery shelling targets areas in Tyre and Bint Jbeil amid ongoing ceasefire violations.Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in the Bekaa Valley reported shortly after midnight between Friday and Saturday that Israeli warplanes carried out six airstrikes targeting the outskirts of Brital within less than 10 minutes.
In southern Lebanon, our correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes struck the towns of Srifa in the Tyre district, Barashit and Haris in the Bint Jbeil district, in addition to launching raids on Tibnin and the town of Kfar.
The attacks coincided with Israeli artillery shelling targeting the town of al-Haniyah in the Tyre district, as well as al-Ghandouriyah and the outskirts of Hadatha in the Bint Jbeil district.
Continued violations of the ceasefire
The Israeli occupation continues to violate the ceasefire agreement, with repeated attacks targeting civilian residential areas and villages.
The renewed attacks follow months of Israeli aggression that intensified last March, resulting in more than 12,000 martyrs and wounded.
The Israeli occupation committed a massacre on Tuesday in the southern Lebanese town of Deir Qanoun al-Nahr after deliberately targeting a residential building.
The al-Risala Ambulance Association released footage documenting the Israeli attack on its paramedics in the town where several paramedics were killed and others injured during the assault.
Israeli aggression toll rises above 3,000 martyrs
Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health announced earlier on Tuesday that the cumulative toll from the intensified Israeli aggression since March 2 has reached 3,073 martyrs and 9,362 wounded.
The latest massacres come despite the continuation of the Lebanese-Israeli direct negotiation framework, underscoring the occupation’s ongoing escalation against civilians in Lebanon.
The escalation forms part of the ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon, with occupation forces continuing to bombard Lebanese villages, particularly in the south.
