A fire heavily damaged a Lebanon County bar and grill early Monday morning. Crews responded to the Corvette Grille & Bar on West Main Street/Route 422 in Annville Township at 4:23 a.m. on Monday. According to Chief Phillip Snavely of the Union Hose Fire Company of Annville, the bulk of the fire was in the kitchen and spread throughout the building. The apartments above the bar on the second floor were also damaged, according to the chief. Snavely said no one was inside the apartments at the time. A family in the home next door was inside at the time of the fire and was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, according to the chief. No other injuries were reported. Crews remain at the scene. West Main Street is closed in both directions between Cherry and Killinger streets. The cause is under investigation. School district on two-hour delayDue to the fire, the Annville-Cleona School District said all buildings will operate on a two-hour delay for in-person learning on Monday. Under the modified schedule, the secondary school will begin at 9:30 a.m., while Annville Elementary and Cleona Elementary will start at 10:50 a.m. Full-time and AM CTC students with last names A through C will depart at 9:30 a.m., and bus van transportation will run about two hours later than normal. District officials said they will continue monitoring the situation to determine whether any additional changes are needed. Previous fireThis is not the first fire at the business. Crews responded to the Corvette Grille & Bar on West Main Street/Route 422 in Annville Township at 4:23 a.m. on Monday.
According to Chief Phillip Snavely of the Union Hose Fire Company of Annville, the bulk of the fire was in the kitchen and spread throughout the building.
