(NATIONAL) — An active duty U.S. Army soldier stationed at Fort Carson was killed over the weekend in a training incident while deployed, according to an announcement by the Department of War (DOW) on June 3.
26-year-old Sergeant Devin A. Seibel of Robinson, Texas died on May 31 in Erbil Airbase, Iraq, during a “training-related incident.” Seibel was in Iraq supporting Operation Inherent Resolve.
Seibel was assigned to the Air Ambulance Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade at Fort Carson. The incident is under investigation, the DOW said.
