The Department of War has identified a U.S. Army soldier killed overseas as Sergeant Devin A. Seibel of Robinson, Texas.
Seibel, 26, died at Erbil Airbase in northern Iraq during a training-related incident on May 31, the defense department announced in a June 3 news release. He was assigned to the Air Ambulance Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, in Fort Carson, Colorado.
According to the defense department, Seibel was supporting Operation Inherent Resolve.
Seibel was one of two soldiers killed in the training incident, officials said.

United Kingdom defense officials said a British soldier also died. The country’s Ministry of Defense identified the solider as Lance Corporal Freeman. He was 29.
Officials have not released additional information about how the soldiers died, but said the incident was under investigation.
