LEBANON, N.H. (WCAX) – The fireworks are back on in Lebanon, New Hampshire, thanks to a generous donation from a local employer.
Last year’s July Fourth fireworks show was canceled because of budget cuts. But this year, they’re back.
The Independence Day celebration will take place on July 2 at Storrs Hill. A $20,000 donation from Novo Nordisk helped make it a reality.
“Creating as many moments as we can for people who live in this area is what keeps us going and fuels us. So, if this is something our community is passionate about, we certainly will put as much energy as we can toward making it a special moment,” said Hannah Falcone of Lebanon Recreation, Arts, and Parks.
Several other events are being planned for the Fourth of July in Lebanon. July Fourth events include a road race and parade. A free barbecue will also take place at Colburn Park to ring in the country’s 250th birthday.
