The United Nations has said that despite a reduction in hostilities, extensive Israeli military activities continue in southern Lebanon.
Al Jazeera reported on Thursday, June 18, that the statement was made by Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, in New York.
According to the report, Dujarric said that Israeli military activities include high-density armored movements, large-scale engineering and demolition operations, and sustained logistical traffic throughout the area.
This comes as, between midnight and 3:00 p.m. local time yesterday, United Nations peacekeepers in Lebanon recorded 22 violations of Lebanese airspace by Israel, as well as one airstrike.
