LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man was charged with criminal homicide after a woman was found dead inside an apartment at a Lebanon apartment complex, according to the Lebanon Police Department.
On Saturday night, Lebanon police responded to the Hartmann Plantation Apartments after a report of a possible shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a woman dead inside the apartment with at least one gunshot wound, according to police.

Upon arrival, officers located a deceased female inside an apartment. The victim appeared to have sustained at least one gunshot wound.

As a result of the preliminary investigation, police arrested 57-year-old Jerry Matthews, of Lebanon, at the scene and charged him with criminal homicide.
According to police, the investigation indicates this was an isolated domestic incident involving family members.
“Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones affected by this tragedy,” the Lebanon Police Department said. “This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No additional information is available for release at this time.”
