Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said on Tuesday that negotiations on a final agreement would not begin as long as threats against Iran continued, urging the other side to “honour your signature.”
Speaking after attending the funeral of Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Araghchi said neither the Iranian people nor the country’s armed forces would be intimidated by threats, News.Az reports, citing Mizan News Agency.
“Millions of proud Iranians came together in unity and solidarity to pay tribute to Grand Ayatollah Khamenei and his enduring legacy. Neither they nor our brave armed forces harbour any fear of threats,” Araghchi wrote on X.
He also referred to Paragraph 13 of the Memorandum of Understanding, saying it was “completely clear and explicit.”
“As long as threats against Iran continue, negotiations to reach a final agreement will not begin. Honour your signature,” he wrote.
