Over the last decade and a half, Israel’s nominally centrist parties have competed for power without saying what they actually believe. It is therefore surprising that former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot’s party Yashar has opted to sketch out its basic principles on its new website even before Israelis know who else is running on the outfit’s Knesset slate.
