Same dogs, second attack: 6-year-old girl hospitalized after being bitten in Lebanon County, police say

A 6-year-old girl was hospitalized after being attacked by two dogs in Lebanon County, according to South Lebanon Township Police Chief Zimmerman.

Police were called to a home on South 14th Avenue in South Lebanon Township at 11:24 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 10.

Zimmerman said the girl was bitten by two dogs at the residence. She was transported to Hershey Medical Center with severe injuries, according to police.

The chief said charges will be filed.

Same dogs attacked toddler two years prior, chief says

According to Chief Zimmerman, the same two dogs attacked a 22-month-old boy on Sept. 11, 2024, at the same home.

Investigators said the boy was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition after the attack.

A relative of the dog owner told WGAL that six Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs and one Basset Hound lived in the home at the time.
