PHOTOS: Firefighters in the Lebanon Fire District (LFD) quickly extinguished a structure fire in a shop building mid-evening Aug. 15, 2026, after an initial call near River Drive was updated to the 38000 block of Lawrence Drive.

Crews were dispatched at 8:54 p.m. and, as they responded, the original 911 caller provided the updated location to the dispatch center. When the Battalion Chief arrived, he was directed to a pole-barn-style workshop with light smoke showing from the eaves.

While surveilling the building, the Battalion Chief encountered the property owner attempting to put out the fire with a garden hose. Firefighters arrived, deployed hoses and directed streams into the structure, where fire was burning inside.

The fire was brought under control within moments, and crews remained on scene for an additional hour for overhaul and mop-up. No firefighters were injured. The property owner was evaluated by a fire and medic crew for a minor burn to a hand.
