Former Georgia congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene says that the Trump Administration is considering possible nuclear actions during strategy meetings on the Iran conflict.
Greene resigned from her position in the U.S House of Representatives in January before finishing a full term, following a tumultuous and public falling out with President Trump.
Despite her seat being filled with MAGA supporter Clay Fuller in a special election in May, Greene has stayed vocal on political issues, including criticizing the president and his administration repeatedly over the course of the last eight months.
Greene has been a strong opponent of the Iran war, joining forces with other conservatives like lame duck Rep. Thomas Massie and Tucker Carlson.
“The number one Goal is, and always will be, that Iran cannot have, in any way, shape, or form, a Nuclear Weapon. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social Monday morning.
In a statement to USA TODAY, the White House called her “Marjorie ‘Quitter’ Greene” and said she was “completely out of the loop” in response to her comments.
‘I’m not speculating, I know,’ Greene says
In a post on X Sunday, Greene said the Trump Administration was “discussing using nuclear weapons on Iran” during recent strategy meetings.
“Yes you read that correctly. It’s real. I’m not speculating, I know,” Greene said. “And it’s pure evil.”
